we hired three new people for customer service.
i had to train one of the new kids tonight. In casual conversation, I asked him how many hours he’d be working. He said about 32, and mostly nights.
I have a feeling one of the main snack bar guys is going to get fired. They hired new people for CUSTOMER SERVICE, and not snack bar. I work all nights, and all weekends. They don’t have room during the week to give me 40ish hours, and not have me working weekends. If they fire the guy I think they’re going to fire, then I think they’ll want to put me in the snack bar - which I’ve told them I do not want, at all, to do. I don’t mind working snack bar SOMETIMES, but not at nighttime because I don’t like the stress.
I can handle working on the floor, ALONE, for 10 or more hours on the weekends That’s fine with me. I’ve handled far worse alone at work before. But, working for $7.50 an hour, plus the petty tips that I’d make at night time don’t justify the bullshit I’d have to put up with in the snack bar. I don’t even care about making tips. Sure, the extra money is nice, but I’d rather take the guaranteed money than, well, “betting on myself,” if you will.
either that, or I’m going to get fired. Which I can see happening, but I don’t know why they actually would besides the fact my GM is crazy.
I only have one cigarette left. It’s a hard knock life, guys.
